I ran the windows network diagnostics and problems found were: There might be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Connection adapter and, there might be a problem wih the driver for the Wireless Network Connection adapter. My laptop is shows an excellent connection signal strength but limited access when not connected with the cord. I am using 2Wire Home Portal 1000 SW router. My Acer Aspire 5100 (Windows 7 Ultimate) won't connect to the internet using the ethernet cord or wireless.
